Biography
Anya Lagman is a Filipina composer, producer, and songwriter. She is currently the composer's assistant to Nicolas Snyder. Most recently, she composed additional music for Common Side Effects, an Adult Swim animated series executive-produced by Greg Daniels (The Office) and Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-Head), and created by Joseph Bennett and Steve Hely.

Lagman also contributed additional music to the Emmy Award-winning Scavengers Reign, a MAX Original/Netflix animated series created by Joseph Bennett and Charles Huettner. Her works have been performed by the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra at notable venues across the United States and the Philippines.

She was selected as the first composer to perform at the Malacañang Heritage Tours' Goldenberg Mansion Cultural Center, an initiative by the Philippines' Department of Tourism. Pagsibol was the inaugural musical and cultural show–which was well attended by esteemed national producers, directors, filmmakers, choir masters, Honorable Ambassadors, and the current First Lady, Liza Araneta Marcos.

Her additional works include Together as One, Estée Lauder's exclusive theme song for the Philippines' Breast Cancer Campaign and Pink Charity Ball, which raised 9 million Philippine pesos to support access to breast cancer treatments in the Philippines. Lagman conducted and premiered the theme song alongside the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.

Originally from Manila, Philippines, Lagman began playing piano at the age of four and composing at fourteen after being inspired by Hans Zimmer's score for Christopher Nolan’s Inception. Growing up in a musical household surrounded by gifted vocalists and musicians in a vibrant international culture, her upbringing deeply influenced her passion for composing and producing.

Further honing her artistic craft, Lagman graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Composition from the University of Southern California's renowned Thornton School of Music, where she studied under distinguished composers such as Donald Crockett, Andrew Norman, Ted Hearne, Nina Young, and Veronika Krausas.
